150th Anniversary

What a great evening enjoyed by everyone!  We would like to give a big thanks to the 175+ who helped us celebrate our Lodges 150th Anniversary at celebration Grand Ballroom on Saturday March 10, 2007.   The night got off to a great start with WM Tim Browning welcoming everyone,  PM Paul Sieler leading us in our Invocation and then having the Presentation of the Colors by the Boy Scouts and PM George Royston leading us in the pledge.  We appreciate the Boy Scouts and the support they have provided to our lodge over the years!

We would like to especially thank the following civic individuals for the presentations:

  • Mayor Gene Carey, City of Lewisville
  • Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Tasker, City of Flower Mound
  • Honorable Michael Burgess, US District 26 Congressman

We would also like to thank MW Grand Master Donny Broughton for being the evenings Keynote Speaker,  for his inspirational words and reminding us how important our Entered Apprentice and Fellow Craft members are to the future our our great fraternity, as well as, how important it is that we support our schools in the State of Texas.  We greatly appreciate your support Bro. Broughton!

It was a special evening as MW Grand Master Donny Broughton, RW Past Grand Master Elmer Murphey III, and Bro. Dale Sylvester presented Mr. Fred Placke, LISD School board President, with a check from the Texas Masonic Charities Foundation for $4,600 to help support scholarships and the "Adopt A School Program".   Hopefully in the coming years we will be able to increase our contributions through a matching program through the Texas Masonic Charities Foundation.

We would also like to thank Bro. Mike King for being a wonderful Master of Ceremonies, keeping us laughing throughout the night and for providing some fun facts about the history of our great city.  What a great evening, thank Bro. King!

The Lewisville High School Choir did a wonderful job singing our national anthem and providing a night of wonderful music for us to enjoy.  What an honor to enjoy the talents these great youth have been blessed with, thank you!

What a great evening of music, laughter and fellowship, thank you to everyone who participated and helped organize a great evening.  Please check out our 150th Photos on the page link on the upper right.
