Welcome Visitors and Masonic Brothers!

Thank you for visiting the Lewisville Masonic Lodge’s web site.  Our Lodge, chartered in 1857 as a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, is the oldest Masonic Lodge in Denton County.  We are an active Lodge in the community and in the Brotherhood of Freemasonry. We continue to reach out to those in need in accordance with our charitable purposes and Masonic obligation. Please take a few minutes to review the various pages of this site and find out what is going on at Lewisville Masonic Lodge

The Lodge is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for fellowship, work, and degrees.

Our Stated Meeting is held the second Thursday of each month with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the Stated Meeting starting at 7:30 p.m..

We also have an active Order of the Eastern Star #935 that meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.

A Message from the Master of the Lodge

The charge of the Master is to ensure that peace and harmony in the lodge prevail. This is by no means an easy task, yet when looked upon by the uninitiated may seem very simple and forthcoming; like basking in the warm sunshine. However, we live in the great State of Texas, and sunshine around here will literally make a man run for shade! Everything is bigger, greater, and more intense in Texas… just ask us!

While the Master of the Lodge has a primary role to run the Lodge which is done by set policy? No one individual or committee makes policy. The Lodge is run as Congress is anyone can make policy recommendations and everyone gets to vote on that proposed policy change. I strive to determine the majority focus of the brothers while ensuring that their desires also maintain the high standard of being ‘for the good of masonry’.

Lewisville lodge strives to inculcate the belief that masonry teaches good men ways to improve. We focus on virtuous behavior inside and outside the lodge, and recommend that our brethren maintain this higher standard of living in themselves. This is accomplished with much affection and understanding, while guiding them in the right direction. In short, the lodge is a place where we meet to improve ourselves.

We work hard, and we play hard. We hold dinners, parties, and other events to bond with our brethren. We participate in fundraising activities to assist in funding our philanthropic ventures. Annually, we host a race called “Race for the Children” that benefits both local and Masonic charitable interests, and takes the efforts of all the brothers to ensure its safe and enjoyable operation. All these opportunities bring brothers and their loved ones together as a Masonic family.

Masons all over the world know that, because of our strengths, our virtues, and especially our brotherly love and affection for each other, we can meet and discuss any situation without fear of reprisal. We strive to be brothers before adversaries; which with time, patience, and perseverance allows us to overcome all things. It is for that reason that a brother can travel around the globe and will always be able to find a friend.
